CONCEPT
Designed by Giuseppe Valadier in 1814, the Hotel owes its name to the frequentations of the representatives of the Russian Imperial House and the Russian Romantic painters who stayed there. After a long restoration, it was reopened in 2000 under the sign of Rocco Forte Hotels, once again becoming one of the most exclusive Hotels in the Eternal City. Hotel De Russie is located between two of the most beautiful and famous squares in Rome, Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna, a few steps from the shopping streets. Thanks to its Secret Garden, also designed by Valadier according to the fashion of the time, with paths, rest areas and a chain of water that descends into three nymphaeum, it represents an oasis of quiet and greenery in the heart of the city. Hotel De Russie is an icon of essential luxury: its interior design is based on an eclectic style which, by blending styles, brings back that ‘melting pot’ typical of the most modern and advanced societies. A new concept that is realized in the choices of complete re-styling, in the purely aesthetic aspect and in the innovative use of space. In the living rooms as in the bedrooms, pastel shades have been favored, extremely delicate and relaxing, from green-blue to sand-ivory with sophisticated shades of amethyst. The furniture is linear, some of Asian inspiration with precious black and orange lacquers. The rooms and suites have enchanting views of the garden, Piazza del Popolo and the famous rooftops of Rome.

Historical building in the heart of Rome
Hotel De Russie, historical point of reference, was initially employed for different uses but subsequently unused for many years. The restoration job was very demanding, and it took a strong work organization and was necessary to articulate the site on two or three shifts for day to meet clients’ needs. This allowed to finish the work in only 10 month.
